Rural in-home care is an urgent priority at Care For People. Over the past fifteen years we have tried unsuccessfully to provide less populated areas with the same care that is available in larger areas. The reason that it hasn't worked is because the directors were given areas larger than they knew how to manage.
What new strategy are we going to use to add these areas to our list of successful territories? In the past we have given directors several counties and these individuals would market in the most populated areas, return home and wait for the business to pour in. That didn't happen because there was not enough need in that one area. Those directors were completely ignoring as much as seventy-five percent of their territory because those areas were spread out and they felt that time spent in their office waiting for work was more valuable than being on the road.
What we plan to do with these areas isn't that complicated. First we are going create vast areas with a population base of around four hundred thousand people. Next we will find someone who is a good marketer to market the entire area.
We will help these individuals find caregivers in smaller sections and select one of these people to direct the area. This person will be responsible for filling cases as well as doing in-home care work. Each of these local individuals will receive, in addition to their wages for their care giving duties, a percentage of the profits from their area.
Meanwhile the marketer, who is the Director for the entire area, will spend their time doing what they do best-marketing. Generally, the Director will be the franchisee or lessees with the entire area being a single franchise.
